| tonight is my last post for my trip. i start my trek back to memphis on thursday night at 9pm (thursday morning 8am memphis time) go to bangkok. sleep on my suitcases again, wake up, check in at 4am and leave bangkok at 6am. 6 hours later i'll be in tokyo. from tokyo, 12 hours later i'll be in detroit. then from detroit, 2 hours later i'll be in memphis.
so here is the last post. i hope you have enjoyed the pictures this go round. i have had a good trip. VERY relaxed. almost to the point where i feel lazy. but it has been good. you never understand how hectic america and the stress there can be until you go elsewhere. i am torn whether i am happy or sad. i think i am both.
i love the thai people. thai culture. thai landscape. thai weather. thai shopping. thai language. thai dress. everything. i love this place. i hope maybe a piece of your heart has fallen in love with it too...
another visit to the umbrella factory to get something made last minute...

what you do when you can't communicate everything you want to tell a child you love with all your heart...

private concert from Fon...

i had no idea Fon carries around a picture of me and donut from the last time i was here!...

ok... so i am missing this huge festival. so we decided it would be an appropriate goodbye to have our own early. you light the lantern and when you release it, depending on the way it goes (i don't really understand), you have good luck, etc. at the end of november thousands of them will be released in the sky. and i'm missing it. so just pretend that instead of one or two, that there are thousands... ooo... ah...

ok. so, tootles and i'll see ya on the flip side. love you all. thank you for your support and encouragement. you can send me email still, i will have internet, i will just not be updating again while i'm here. all to the King...

| the prison... so, i went yesterday. it was so cool. i didn't see any of my students, but one lady who organizes the students recognized me and was so happy. i told her to tell my students hello. it was difficult to leave again. i kept looking around wanting to see a familiar face. i know they are in His hands...
music stuff... i went to Grace International School today and talked to an 8th grade class. i played a song for them and then got rid of the rest of my cd's. they were so funny... wanting autographs. why is my signature so special? ha ha. i can't figure it out.
working hard... i've been doing a lot of walking and taking pictures. but here it takes a while to get anywhere. the thai people are very much camera shy. so i am having to really try hard to build a friendship to take their picture. the old man that was a couple of entries back, i talked to him for an hour before he was comfortable to take a picture. needlesstosay, i am getting pictures, just at a slower rate than i thought. but what i'm getting, i'm loving. i hope you are too.
proof... ok, those of you (who will remain nameless ::cough cough, stacey::) who feel that i am stealing pictures off the internet and really sitting on a beach chair in the Bahamas, here is the proof that i am here doing what i'm doing. and i have to say, selfportraiting is hard. i would just rather take pictures of other things. thanks.

night pictures soon to come...

| so today i am going to guest teach in the prison. i am sooooo excited. i am not sure what students i will have, if there will be one, some, or all of my old students. no matter what, i am just happy to be given the chance to go back!
hope you liked the pictures. there are plenty more, but i figured you don't wanna spend an hour looking at a days worth of pictures.
and this whole cold thing in memphis... hmmm... it makes it tempting to stay here a while longer...
